Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 October 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms apply to the Chalkwise app. Apple's standard licence agreement also applies to apps you download from the App Store.

1. The app

Chalkwise helps you write and solve maths on a chalkboard. It is a study aid, not a substitute for teaching or for checking your homework.

2. Your work

Your notebooks, strokes and answers are yours. They stay on your device and we have no access to them.

3. Answers and steps

Answers and steps are generated automatically and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them, especially for homework and exams.

4. Chalkwise+

Chalkwise+ is an optional subscription bought with your App Store account. The price is shown in the app before you buy. Apple handles payment, renewal and cancellation; you can cancel in your App Store settings. The app contains no link to payment outside the App Store.

5. Fair use

Do not use the app to cheat in exams, to upload work that is not yours, or to send unlawful content through the scanner.

6. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the app and the solver working, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the past twelve months.

7. Privacy

The privacy policy explains what the app does with your data.

8. Contact and applicable law

Stichting Le@f, Ampèrestraat 9, 1976 BE Velsen, the Netherlands · KVK 34140586 · VAT NL815590921B01 · info@stichtingleaf.nl. Dutch law applies. These terms do not limit your statutory rights.
